New Delhi, Feb 11: The blame game on who is responsible for the sorry state of affairs India is in. With the number of scams and controversies dogging the country at the moment. The latest statement made by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Shourie will bust the covers of the ruling UPA government headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Shourie alleged that Manmohan Singh had prior knowledge of the discrepancies in the Telecom Ministry under him. The allegations was made in an interview to a private television channel CNN-IBN. There were allegations that the telecom guidelines were the same as that of the NDA government and that the BJP had a hand in the pie as well.

Shourie claims to have said to the PM, “Dr Singh, loot is happening under the umbrella of your good name." Singh however asked Shourie to clarify the matter with his Principal Secretary, TKA Nair. After eliciting no response from the concerned person, Shourie apparently followed up with the then CBI director, Ashwini Kumar in Oct 2009 and gave him the details of Raja'a aide.

“The CBI then contacted him in the first week of November 2009 and met him again and again and again. And when they had all the details and they followed those things up, the investigative officer was transferred out," Shourie added on the way things turned out after the checks have been made. He also revealed that the person who went to the root of the matter have been receiving life threats and is living in fear.

Shourie appeared extremely confident on divulging the facts on the two persons who has access to key evidence to nail Raja and said, “Full story. And he has all the papers. He has the calling cards. When did Balwa come? Through whom did he come? Everything."

Shourie also made clear on the BJP's capitalizing on the knowledge of this explosive revelation and said, “I don't want to talk about BJP's internal meeting but it is certainly my assessment that they were not interested in following these things."
