Three alleged criminals arrested in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI) Three youths, allegedly involvedin several criminal cases, were arrested in the nationalcapital after they fired on police when they were intercepted,police said today.

Sunil (30) and Siya Ram (22) were intercepted on RingRoad by a police team on Tuesday following the arrest of theirassociate Sunil from near Karol Bagh metro station, AshokChand, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), said.

"They were stopped while travelling in a car. They thenopened fire at the police team. However, police overpoweredthem," Chand said.

Two country-made pistols, two fired and four livecartridges were recovered from them.

Sunil was allegedly involved in 11 cases of murder,robbery, attempt to murder, NDPS Act and Arms Act of Delhi.

His area of operation was New Delhi Railway Station, ConnaughtPlace, Moti Nagar and Khyala, police said.

He was declared proclaimed offender in a case of murderof one Mukesh of Raghubir Nagar.

Siya Ram is allegedly involved in cases of attempt tomurder and planning to commit dacoity.
