Sugar drops on subdued demand
Mumbai, Feb 10 (PTI) Sugar prices dropped further at theVashi wholesale market here today, owing to sluggish demandfrom bulk consumers amid adequate supply positions.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) slipped by Rs 20/30 perquintal to Rs 2,826/2,886 from its overnight closing level ofRs 2,846/2,916.
Small sugar quality (S-30) also fell by Rs 14 per quintalto Rs 2,801/2,831 as compared to Rs 2,801/2,845.
The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, withthe previous rates in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,801/2,831 (Rs 2,801/2,845) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,826/2,886(Rs 2,846/2,916).
