Sugarcane mills staff booked for underweighing

Balrampur, Feb 10 (PTI) FIRs have been lodged againststaff of two sugar mills in Utraula and Balrampur forunderweighing sugarcane at purchase centres.

District Cane officer R D Dewedi said on Monday heand secretary Anil Kumar visited the Baghni Bahadurpur centreand during inspection they found 16 Kg less sugarcane wasweighed in 5 Quintals.

An FIR was lodged against the director of BCM groupVivek Sarawgi, occupier A K Sharma and payment clerk RavindraSingh in Balrampur police station yesterday.

On the same day Dewedi also visited the sugarcanepurchase centre of Shahpur Jtai of Bajaj Hindustan Mill andfound 18 kg less sugarcane was weighed in 5 Quintals.

An FIR was lodged against the MD of Bajaj HindustanMills Kushagra Bajaj, unit head Alok Srivastava andmeasurement clerk R P Singh in Utraula police station, headded.
