Select copra slips on sluggish demand

Mumbai, Feb 10 (PTI) Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikodeprices declined at the spices market here today due to reduceddemand from stockists amidst lower retail offtake.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode fell byRs 100 per quintal each to Rs 7,100 and Rs 7,000 fromWednesday''s closing level of Rs 7,200 and Rs 7,100,respectively.

Meanwhile, other spices remained stable in the absence ofany worthwhile buying activity.

Black pepper (per kg) 245/258 (245/258), ginger bleached(per kg) 160 (160), ginger unbleached (per kg) 190 (190),copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,100 (7,200), copraoffice Kozhikode (per quintal) 7,000 (7,100), copra RajapurMumbai (per quintal) 8,900 (8,900) and copra edible Mumbai(per quintal) 8,200 (8,200).
