Gunmen attack shopkeeper in Sopore
Srinagar, Feb 10 (PTI) Unidentified gunmen shot at andinjured a shopkeeper in Sopore town of north Kashmir''sBaramulla district today.
33-year-old Majid Bashir was shot by the gunmen ataround 10.00 AM inside his shop in Sopore town, 52 kms fromhere, official sources said.
They said Bashir was hit in the left thigh by thebullets fired by the assailants, who fled from the spot soonafter the incident.
Police has cordoned off the area and launched a huntfor the attackers, the sources said, adding no militant outfithas claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
The attack comes less than a fortnight after twosisters were shot by suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba militants inMuslim Peer area of the town.
