JK govt to construct Kargil House in New Delhi
Jammu, Feb 9 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir government willconstruct a Kargil House in the Union Capital to providetemporary accommodation to the people of Kargil.
A piece of land has been acquired in Dwarka area ofNew Delhi to construct the Kargil House, Minister for ConsumerAffairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) and Transport Qamar AliAkhoon said.
Akhoon said that a four storey spacious Kargil Housewill be constructed with a view to minimise the accommodationdifficulties being faced by the Kargil Hajj pilgrims andgeneral people in the national capital.
He said adequate funds will be arranged to ensure thecompletion of the complex within 2 years.
He issued instructions to the concerned authoritiesfor immediate transfer of Rs 15 lakh to the Delhi DevelopmentAuthority as the cost of the land.
