Air Force asks municipal body to keep defence area clean

Ghaziabad, Feb 8 (PTI) The Hindon Air Force station hasasked Municipal Corporation here to ensure cleanliness in thearea surrounding the station so that scavengers do not flockthere and get hit by the US military transport aircraft,inducted recently into the IAF.

The Hindon Air Force station has written a letter toMunicipal Corporation of Ghaziabad in this regard as ''C-130JSuper Hercules'' transport plane could hit the scavengers inthat area while flying, officials said.

The aircraft has been recently deployed at the stationfor providing air security to Delhi and Ghaziabad.
