JK Governor and CM express grief over loss of lives in Kargil
Jammu, Feb 7 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir Governor N NVohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed griefover the loss of five human lives in a rockslide in Batalikarea of Kargil.
In a message, the Governor expressed sympathy with thebereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of thoseinjured in this tragic incident.
The Chief Minister also conveyed his sympathy andprayed for the peace to the departed souls.
Five people, including three children, were killed andan equal number was injured when huge pieces of rock slid froma hillock and fell on two houses in in Kargil districtyesterday.
The rockslide, triggered by heavy snowing, occurred invillage Garkone in Batalik sector in Kargil, an official ofthe Disaster Management Cell said.
