Four persons killed in road mishap on way to Bihar

Allahabad, Feb 8 (PTI) Four persons were killed andanother was seriously injured when a vehicle in which theytravelling collided head-on with a speeding truck, policesaid.

The incident occurred in Uttaraon police station areaon the outskirts of the district where the speeding truck hitthe van killing the driver and three of the passengers on thespot while one person sustained injuries, they said.

A family of five brothers hailing from Aurangabaddistrict in Bihar were taking their eldest sibling to Gurgaonfor treatment of a heart disease, who, however, died beforethe surgery could take place.

The distraught family members, thereafter, hired a vanto take the body to their native place for performing the lastrites but ended up meeting with the tragic mishap.

The truck has been impounded and a search was on forthe erring driver, who fled the spot following the collision.
