Woman killed, ASI hurt in separate mishaps in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 6 (PTI) A 55-year-old woman was killedwhile an Assistant Sub Inspector was injured when speedingtrucks hit them in separate incidents in the capital, policesaid today.

Taifi Khan was crushed to death in Nangloi at around 11pm yesterday when she was returning home. She was rushed to anearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

The driver of the truck fled the spot while the helperhas been arrested. A hunt is on to nab the driver.

In the second incident, the ASI suffered injuries whenhe was hit by a truck in Peeragarhi last night. He is postedin Defence Colony.
