74 kgs of ganja found at railway station in Mumbai

Mumbai, Feb 5 (PTI) Seventy-four kgs of ganja worth Rs1.48 lakh were recovered from five bags abandoned on a railwaystation here today, police said.

An on-duty Police Constable spotted the bags onplatform number 1 of Dadar station early this morning.

"When he checked them, he found something amiss. Heinquired about the owner of the bags, but nobody came forwardto claim them," said R S Kokate, Inspector at Mumbai CentralRailway Police Station.

The bags were later seized and when opened, 74 kgs ofganja were found in them, he said.

"We are going through the CCTV footage at the railwaystation to find out who brought the bags inside the station,"the officer added.
