Veena Singh to lead rail-roko in Singrauli
Bhopal, Feb 4 (PTI) Senior Congress leader ArjunSingh''s daughter, Veena Singh will lead a "Rail Roko"agitation in Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh tomorrow.
Veena who came into focus when she contested the 2009Lok Sabha elections from the Sidhi constituency told PTI onphone from Singrauli that the agitation is being launched asSingrauli suffered from a total lack of rail connectivity.
She said that within Madhya Pradesh, one could travelby train from Singrauli only upto Katni and the place was cutoff from the rest of the State.
Veena said that similarly there was no way in whichone could travel from Singrauli to Varanasi by train.
Quality coal is produced in the mines in Singraulidistrict and those working in them face many problems due topoor rail connectivity.
She said that the problem has been pending for thelast 20 years with the railway authorities who were not doinganything about it.
