JVM-P alleges violation of model code of conduct by Munda

Jamshedpur, Feb 3 (PTI) Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(Prajatantrik) today complained to the Election Commissionabout the Jharkhand government advertisement showingphotographs of Chief Minister Arjun Munda alleging violationof model code of conduct by Munda, who is contesting theFebruary 10 by-election from Kharswan.

Munda had been making series of announcement even afterfiling his nomination for the Kharswan by-election, allegedPradip Yadav, leader of JVM(P) legislature party in the stateassembly.

A full page advertisement of state government showingphotographs of Munda, deputy chief ministers Sudesh Mahto andHemant Soren, chairman of steering committee in Jharkhand,Shibu Soren and Health minister Hemlal Murmu was published invarious local dailies about the foundation ceremony for500-bed hospital in Teliachak village in Dumka district today.

Yadav alleged that Munda had recently distributed croresof rupees to beneficiaries at a vikas mela held in Jamshedpurafter he filed his nomination for the by-election on January19 last.

Demanding immediate action against Munda, Yadav furtheralleged that the chief minister was also misusing thegovernment machinery.

Yadav demanded deployment of CRPF personnel in all thepolling booths on the polling day to ensure free and fairby-election in Kharswan. PTI BS
