Active participation of agencies sought for traffic management
Jammu, Feb 3 (PTI) Law enforcement agencies shouldtake steps to ensure less traffic congestions and safe plyingof transport on the roads in Jammu city, a senior governmentofficial said today.
"Mass awareness camps in these regard should beconducted in schools, colleges and prime places by departmentsconcerned," Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, MubarakGul said here.
Authorities should modernise the traffic regulationsystem by installing traffic signals, lights and equipments totrack down the traffic violators, he said.
IGP (Traffic) sought coordination of Public WorksDepartment (PWD), Jammu Municipal Corporation and HousingDepartment, besides seeking additional manpower to control theheavy rush of traffic in the city.
