50 students fall ill after consuming Jatropha seed

Hisar, Feb 3 (PTI) As many as 50 students of a governmentmiddle school, situated on the Haryana Agricultural University(HAU) campus, were taken ill after they consumed Jatrophaseed.

All the students were admitted to civil hospital herelast night for treatment where they are stated to be out ofdanger, official sources said here today.

These students were the residents of labour colony atHaryana Agricultural University and after school time, theyate the seed of Jatropa tree on the school premises.

When they reached home, they started vomiting and wereadmitted to hospital.
