200 take ill for suspected food poisoning, 62 hospitalised

Madikeri (Kar), Feb 1 (PTI): About 200 people took ill and62 of them had to be hospitalised for symptoms for foodpoisoning at Madikeri and Somwarpet after they had feast at amarriage, police said.

Doctors said the people fell sick after having food at awedding at Somwarpet on the night of January 30.

While eight people, including the bride were hospitalisedat Madikeri, 54 others were admitted to a hospital atSomwarpet, sources said.

Doctors at the hospitals said the condition of thosehospitalised is stated to be out of danger.
