Suburban train service disrupted

Mumbai, Jan 31 (PTI) Train services on the CentralRailway were disrupted this evening after a local trainentered into a wrong track due to technical reasons.

"A Kalyan-Dadar local train that was expected to arriveon platform number five at Dadar station had to be taken onplatform number six due to technical reasons. Since there wasno link for the train to take it ahead it was brought to CSTstation. This caused bunching of trains," Central Railway PROA K Jain said.

There was delay of more than 20 minutes. The incidenthappened at 5.30 pm, he said.

Meanwhile, the services were also affected this morningafter a goods train from Kalyan did not stop at Kurla yardstation due to signal failure. "This caused log jam andthe train services running on the fast line were delayed formore than 15 minutes," Jain said.

The central railway said it would investigate both theincidents.
