Raids on oil mafia: Stone pelting on police party in Nagpur

Nagpur, Feb 1 (PTI) A police party, which had gone forconducting raids at Rajurwadi near here as part of its ongoingcrackdown on oil mafia in Maharshtra, was today attacked withstones on Nagpur-Umrer road, police said.

The incident took place this morning about 25 kms fromhere, when a group of unidentified people, suspected to belocal oil-adulterators, began pelting stones on the policeteam and damaged some of their vehicles, they said.

The situation was soon brought under control after policeswung into action sending additional force to the site. No onewas injured in the incident.
