20 kg of ganja seized

Jamshedpur, Jan 31 (PTI) Twenty kg of ganja wasrecovered from a four-member gang, one of them a woman, atSidgora in East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand today.

The contraband, kept in two pouches, was seized afterintercepting a car and the four rounded up, a senior policeofficer said.

The arrested persons were identified as Anil KumarSingh, Ganesh Mandal, Santosh Kumar Shah and his wife KiranDevi, all hailing from Bihar''s Bhojpur and Begusaraidistricts.

In another raid, five persons were arrested for theiralleged involvement in criminal cases in the district, policesaid.

One firearm, four cartridge shells, six mobile sets,13 SIM cards and Rs 5000 in cash were found in theirpossession.
