Select copra spurts on high demand

Mumbai, Jan 31 (PTI) Copra Rajapur and copra Alapuzhaprices rose at the spices market here today due to good demandfrom stockists and retailers amidst better offtake frommillers.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra office Alapuzha went upby Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 8,300 and Rs 6,400 from lastweekend''s closing level of Rs 8,200 and Rs 6,300.

Meanwhile, other spices closed stable in the absence ofnecessary buying support.

Black pepper (per kg) 235/249 (235/249), ginger bleached(per kg) 220 (220), ginger unbleached (per kg) 240 (240),copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,400 (6,300), copraoffice Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,200 (6,200), copra RajapurMumbai (per quintal) 8,300 (8,200) and copra edible Mumbai(per quintal) 7,700 (7,700).
