Kasmir shivers at sub-zero temperatures across the Valley
Srinagar, Jan 31 (PTI) Cold wave tightened its gripover Kashmir today as the minimum temperatures across theValley slipped by at least two degrees while Ladakh regionshivered at 12 degrees below the freezing point.
Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 8.6 degrees Celsiuswhile Pahalgam was the second coldest place in the Valley atminus 7.0 deg C, an official of the MET department said.
The minimum temperature recorded here was 1.4 deg C,lower by 2.6 deg C than yesterday.
Qazigund and Kupwara recorded a minimum of minus 0.6deg C and minus 1.4 deg C each.
Ladakh region also saw the mercury dipping by fewdegrees last night as Leh recorded minus 12.8 deg C and Kargiltown registered minus 12.0 deg C.
