Haryana to construct 400-crore canal, sends proposal to CWC
Chandigarh, Jan 30 (PTI) Haryana Chief Minister BhupinderSingh Hooda today said the state government would construct acanal between Hathni Kund and Nariangarh at a cost of Rs 400crore and the proposal has been forwarded to the Central WaterCommission for its approval.
Addressing a public meeting at Nariangarh in Yamuna Nagardistrict, Hooda also announced a number of initiativesincluding the provision of Rs 20 lakh each for development of13 villages which have been just included in Nariangarhassembly constituency after the delimitation process.
He also declared to provide Rs 10 lakh each for developmentof 28 villages of the constituency under a scheme. About 4300villages have already been given Rs 10 lakh under the scheme,he added.
