Haryana sets up Migrant Resource Centre

Chandigarh, Jan 31 (PTI) Haryana government has setup a Migrant Resource Centre in collaboration with theMinistry of Overseas Indian Affairs and InternationalOrganisation for Migration for providing country specificinformation, officials said today.

The Haryana Employment Department has placed 97candidates in the gulf countries and sent 101 candidates tovarious other destinations for higher studies through OverseasPlacement Bureau, an official spokesman said.

The Bureau has received 120 vacancies of food andbeverages workers from Dubai and action is being taken in thisregard, he said.

He said the department has organised 16 job fairs indifferent cities during the current financial year and as aresult of this it has so far been able to place 7000candidates in the private sector.

The department plans to organise 11 more job fairsduring the current fiscal.
