BJP demands Rs 10,000cr for developing unauthorized colonies
New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) Delhi BJP today demanded Rs10,000 crore in the budget for providing basic amenities tothe unauthorised colonies in the national capital.
"More than 10 lakh people live in hellish conditions incolonies like in Dwarka, Palam out of the total 50 lakh peopleliving in unauthorized colonies here," BJP Delhi PradeshPresident Vijender Gupta said, demanding a package of Rs10,000 crore for such areas.
Gupta, addressing a public meeting in Dwarka, allegedthat at the time of assembly elections, Congress PresidentSonia Gandhi distributed provisional certificates to thesecolonies but not a single colony was regularised.
