After missing R-day, Sonia watches Beating the Retreat
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Congress President SoniaGandhi, who could not attend the Republic Day celebrations asshe was down with fever, watched the Beating the Retreatceremony at Vijay Chowk here today.
64-year-old Gandhi, who is also the UPA chairperson,was running fever and was unable to attend the Republic Dayparade as well as the ''At Home'' programme hosted by PresidentPratibha Patil on January 26.
Gandhi was also absent from Tuesday''s official dinnerfor visiting Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
President Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, PrimeMinister Manmohan Singh, Defence Minister A K Antony, seniorBJP leader L K Advani, the three services chiefs and other topdignitaries were present at the Beating the Retreat.
