Dhumal flags off Una-Haridwar Link Express

Shimla, Jan 25 (PTI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister P KDhumal today flagged off at Una the Una-Haridwar Link Expresswhich would provide direct train services between the twocities.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dhumal urgedthe Union Railway Ministry to extend all trains reachingNangal in Punjab up to Una in Himachal Pradesh as only 40 kmof new railway lines had been added to the hill state afterindependence.

The on-going Nangal-Talwara railway line should becompleted in a time-bound manner as the railway track up toAmb had been completed and the trains reaching Una should alsobe extended up to Amb by completing electrification work onthe railway line, he said.
