One killed, 2 injured in mishap at NLC mine
Cuddalore (TN), Jan 24 (PTI) A 21-year old worker waskilled and two others were injured when explosives used bythem to loosen soil went off unexpectedly in the opencast minecomplex of Neyveli Lignite Corporation in the district today,police said.
The workmen, engaged in mine expansion works at Mine-Iarea, had drilled holes and filled them with explosives whichwent off ahead of the fixed time, killing Gunasekaran ofSamuttikuppam village on the spot.
The injured had been hospitalised, police sad.
