India soon to lose foreign trades over CWG ills?

New Delhi, Jan 21: Indian business deals at international level have faced grievous threats over the tainted image of Commonwealth Games' Organising Committee (CWG OC). It seems that India soon may lose a large part of international deals after CWG.

Blaming their decision to deal with CWG OC during the Delhi Games, which was held in Oct 2010, an Australian company Howard and Sons' spokesperson stated, "I will never work in India again and I wouldn't even suggest to my worst enemy to go and have a crack."

Howard and Sons, which got the contract for fireworks during the games, also claimed, "This is my advice for anyone doing business in India - think twice - and never do it again."

However, External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Jan 20 assured his Australian counterpart Kevin Rudd as saying, "I will return (from Australia) and look into it."

The controversy over CWG 2010 has taken the new turn when several Australian firms claimed that they have not been paid yet for their different contracts with CWG OC.
