Goods worth Rs 4.66 cr traded across LoC

Poonch,(J&K) Jan 19 (PTI) Goods worth over Rs 4.66 crorewere traded through 50 trucks between Jammu and Kashmir andPakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) along Line of Control (LoC) atChakan-Da-Bagh Crossing point in Poonch district today,officials said.

As many as 25 trucks rolled out from Trade FacilitationCentre (TFC) at Ranger in Poonch district of J&K to PoK today,they said, adding that these trucks carried bags of coconuts,red chillies, herbs and bananas worth Rs 1,95,77,666.

From PoK, as many as 25 trucks carrying bags of almonds,oranges, mulathi and pista came to this side worth Rs3,10,07,698.

Officials from both the sides monitored thetransportation of these goods at Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing pointtwice during the day from 1200 hrs to 1230 hrs and 1700 hrs to1730 hrs respectively, they said.
