Four members of Manipur-based PULF arrested in Goa

Panaji, Jan 19 (PTI) In a joint operation, Manipur andGoa Police today arrested four persons, including a woman,allegedly affiliated to Manipur-based militant organisationPeople�s United Liberation Front (PULF) from the coastalvillage of Cansaulim near here.

Those arrested have been identified as Saira Banu,Mohammad Noor, Avakatom, and Samir Khan, all wanted inconnection with the crimes in the North East.

Deputy superintendent of Police Mahesh Gaonkar said thatthey are being interrogated by the joint team comprisingManipur and Goa police.

The police team from Manipur had arrived in the statewith specific inputs about these four persons, who wereworking in Goa.

Superintendent of Police Allan D�Sa said that Manipurpolice have secured transit remand from a court here, toto take them back to home state.
