Brighton to invest Rs 2,880 cr in AP's Vizag dist

The company representatives met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy here on Thursday, Jan 19, and discussed about establishment of the plant in Nakkapalli mandalam of the district. Brighton has planned to invest Rs 2,880 crore in the venture.
The AP government has agreed to allocate 800 acres of land for the plant, to be established in a span of two-and-a-half years, the state Minister for Heavy Industries J Geeta Reddy said.
The proposed plant is estimated to provide direct and indirect employment to about one lakh personnel, she added. Brighton is to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state overnment in this regard within two or three weeks, Geeta Reddy added.
The proposed factory comprises of four separate facilities of a melt shop, forging shop, machining shop and welding and assembly shop.
