7 kgs cannabis recovered in Jammu
Jammu, Jan 19 (PTI) Two youths were arrested and 7 kgs ofcannabis was recovered from their possession when a car wasintercepted at a check point in Narwal area here, police said.
Latief and Abdul were arrested with the contraband worthapproximately Rs 7 to 8 lakhs and a case has been registeredagainst them under the Narcotics Act, they said.
In another incident, a person was arrested with 1,500intoxicant capsules (Par-van Spas), 19 bottles of Corex and 18bottles of Cofband, all medicines sold only underprescription, at Nagri in Kathua district.
The accused has been identified Raj Kumar, the policesaid, adding that a case has been registered against him.
The arrests come as part of the continuing drive againstdrug peddlers in Jammu and Kashmir.
