UP govt forms 3-member committee to grant NOC to colleges

Lucknow, Jan 18 (PTI) The Uttar Pradesh government hasformed a three member high-level committee to grant noobjection certificate (NOC) to colleges, who want to start newcourses, officials said here today.

"The committee will be chaired by Special Secretaryand others include Joint Secretary and Director HigherEducation," they said.

Till now, introduction of new courses in colleges wassubject to approval from divisional commissioners, districtmagistrates and regional education officers.

As per the government order, the NOC would be grantedonly after proper inspection of colleges, its infrastructureand basic facilities, they said.
