Suspecting wife''s fidelity man kills wife, 2 daugthers

Madurai, Jan 18 (PTI) Suspecting his wife''s fidelity, a40-year old man allegedly hacked to death her and their twochildren aged six and three in neighbouring SivagangaDistrict, police said today.

Sooriya Gandhi, who had returned from Dubai a few monthsago after being employed there, killed wife Malar (32) anddaughters using a sickle at Settiyurani on January 16.

He surrendered the weapon and confessed to the crime topolice today, they said.

The man had nurtured suspicion over the fidelity of hiswife, police said adding he had buried the body of Malar nearhis house and dumped the bodies of his daughters in a nearbyforest area.

The incident came to light when police interrogated Gandhifollowing complaints from his parents-in-law that theirdaughter and grandchildren were missing.
