Opposition''s misleading campaign, Gogoi

Guwahati, Jan 17 (PTI) Assam chief minister TarunGogoi today accused the opposition parties, including AsomGana Parishad (AGP), for launching a "misleading" campaignagainst the Congress ahead of the assembly election.

"The opposition have launched a misleading campaignbut I am sure that the people will not be hoodwinked", Gogoitold a massive rally organised by the youth wing of theCongress here.

The chief minister said he and his cabinet colleagueshad declared their assets and it was time that the oppositionleaders including his predecessor Prafulla Kumar Mahantapublish their property list.

The chief minister also announced that UPA chairpersonSonia Gandhi and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi will beamong the star campaigners for the ensuing assembly poll inthe state.

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) BhubaneswarKalita and senior party leaders also spoke.
