Omi says he is more proud of ''Dil To...'' than 3 Idiots

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (PTI) Actor Omi Vaidya, who rose tofame playing the role of Chatur Ramalingam in ''3 Idiots'', saysportraying the character of Milind Kelkar in his forthcomingcomedy ''Dil To Baccha Hai Ji'' was challenging and he had to dolot of hard work in pulling off the role.

He also said that he was more proud of ''Dil To... than''3 Idiots'' as he had to do something different than what heis.

"I was very worried about if I could really do this rolebecause I was born in Los Angeles and this character (Milind)was born in Pune and he had to be very realistic," Omi saysadding "I worked very very hard to get the accent correct andit came out very well."

Omi is playing the role of Milind Kelkar,a Maharashtrianin ''Dil To Baccha Hai Ji'' which is his second film. Directedby Madhur Bhandarkar, the film also stars Ajay Devgn andEmrran Hashmi and will hit the screens on January 26.

Omi says he worked very hard on this role anddefinitely needed Madhur''s confidence to pull off this role.

"I think I am more proud of this film than I am actuallyof ''3 Idiots'' because I had to do something very differentthan what I am," the 28-year-old who speaks fluent Marathisaid.

Omi says though, many offers were coming, he has beenchoosy. "After looking at many films (scripts) I picked up''Dil To Baccha Hai Ji'' because I know this was somethingspecial and something different," he added.

After ''3 Idiots'', there are lot of expectations fromme to do well in this movie, he said and expressed confidencethat ''Dil To Baccha Hai Ji'' was going to do well.

"I think this movie would also do very well and everyoneis going to enjoy me in the role of Milind Kelkar as theyloved Chatur," Omi signs off.
