MP Court orders attachment of Health director''s property
Bhopal, Jan 18 (PTI)A local court here today orderedattachment of office property of MP''s Health Directorfollowing non-payment of dues to a firm which had suppliedmedicines and medical equipment to the Health Department ofthe state.
The firm Hindustan Institute of Pharmacon had suppliedmedicines and equipment worth Rs two crore some time back tothe Health Department following which the latter had made apayment of Rs 1.71 crore to the firm.
When the Department delayed the remaining payment, thefirm moved the court which passed an order in favour of thecompany on March 3, 2010.
However, the Department appealed against the judgementin the High Court but did not get any relief.
When the firm failed to get the remaining amount, itmoved the court again following which the Additional SessionJudge B K Dwivedi ordered attachment of office properties ofthe Health Director.
The court further ordered that if the department failsto make payment to the firm by February 14, the propertieswill be auctioned to realise the remaining amount.
