Charas worth Rs 4.5 lakh seized in Aurangabad, one nabbed

Aurangabad, Jan 17(PTI) Cannabis resin, known asCharas, worth Rs 4.5 lakh was seized by the AurangabadAnti Terrorist Squad (ATS) in the city on Monday.

One accused has been nabbed in this connection.

Superintendent of Police (ATS) Navinchandra Reddy saidthat on a tip off, the sleuths of the ATS laid a trap at theCidco bus stand and nabbed suspected man identified asMohammad Akram Mohammed Iqbal.

The accused is a resident of the Bhadkal Gate localityin the city. About 4.8 kilo of the Cannabis resin was seizedfrom him. Police also confiscated a mobile phone and Rs 3500in cash from the accused.
