Birth anniversary of MGR celebrated in Puducherry

Puducherry, Jan 17 (PTI): Welfare Minister M Kandasamy todaypaid floral tributes at the statue of former Tamil Nadu ChiefMinister and AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran on the occasionof the leaders 94th birth anniversary here today.

A few of PCC functionaries accompanied Kandasamy to paytributes.

Functionaries and volunteers of different wings of AIADMKgarlanded the statue at the end of a procession from the partyoffice.

Party unit local secretary A Anbalagan, MLA, accompanied byanother AIADMK legislator Ohm Sakthi Segar, presidium leaderof the local committee M.Pandurangam and delegates ofdifferent wings of the party formed part of the procession.

Earlier Anbalagan distributed sweets and garments to markthe celebrations of MGR''S birth anniversary at the partyheadquarters at Uppalam near here.
