Bandaru fears constitutional crisis if T''gana decision delayed

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (PTI) Former Union Minister and BJPleader Bandaru Dattatrya today said there would beconstitutional crisis in Andhra Pradesh if the Centre delayedstatehood for Telangana region.

Speaking to reporters here, Dattatreya alleged that bothCongress party and the UPA government have been deceivingpeople of Telangana by holding frequent meetings on the issue.

"Holding of meetings without any purpose was waste oftime" he said.

Dattatreya asked the Congress party to make its stand onTelangana issue clear stating whether the party was in favouror against the statehood as the MPs are divided on the issue.

Referring to ambitious Hyderabad Metro Line project,Dattatreya alleged that the state government has changed theroute map of the Metro project at the behest of Majlis-Ittehadul- Muslimeen (MIM)from Tarnaka locality.

The party would oppose the state government''s move tochange the route of the project and demanded an all partymeeting to discuss the issue.
