Two held for murdering friend in drunken brawl
New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Two youngsters, including aNepali national, were arrested for allegedly murdering afriend who verbally abused them after consuming alcohol,police said today.
The arrested have been identified as Deepak Kumar (20),the Nepali national, and Hori Lal (20), who hailed fromBadayun in Uttar Pradesh. They allegedly murdered Jitender(35) on December 30 in Alipur.
"The duo had gone gone to a wine shop along withJitender. They consumed a lot of liquor and later Jitenderstarted to abuse over the quantity of liquor. When they wereleaving, he continued to abuse them.
"They overpowered Jitender and beat him up. Jitender hadsucceeded to escape from there and tried to hide in a room.
They chased him and assaulted on him with a piece of brick," asenior police official said.
The arrest came following police receiving inputs thatJitender had gone to consume liquor with Deepak and Lal onthat day.
