Lalgarh firing death toll eight
Kolkata, Jan 14 (PTI) The death toll in the Januaryseven firing at a Lalgrah village in West Midnapore districtrose to eight today with the death of an injured undergoingtreatment at a state-run hospital here.
Hospital sources said Gitali Adak, who was admitted to theSSKM hospital, succumbed to serious injury in her stomach.
Seven persons, including two woman, were killed and over20 injured in the firing by alleged CPI-M cadres on a crowd atNetai village in the Lalgarh police station area in theMaoist-affected West Midnapore district which Governor M KNarayanan described as a "day of sorrow and shame" for thestate.
