Four killed in AP road mishap
Hyderabad, Jan 14 (PTI) Four persons, including a four-year-old girl, were killed and two others injured in a roadaccident in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh early thismorning, police said.
The incident occurred at around 5.30 am when a marblesheets laden-lorry ferrying a group of agricultural labourersfrom West Godavari district overturned and rolled into aroadside field near Komarthi village. The mishap occurred dueto the driver''s negligence, they said.
"The group of labourers boarded the lorry lasteveningand were on their way to their native villages Santhakavitiand Borza in Srikakulam to celebrate Sankranti festival," apolice officer told PTI by phone.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital, theofficer added.
