Cummins launches 3 plants at Phaltan at Rs 500-cr investment
Mumbai, Jan 14 (PTI) Engine manufacturer Cummins todaylaunched three new plants at Phaltan in Maharashtra''s Sataradistrict at an investment of Rs 500 crore.
These plants consist of a unit producing engines forcommercial vehicles, power generation and industrial markets,an engine rebuilding centre and a facility for remakingengines and components.
"The new plants at Phaltan will enable Cummins to meetgrowing demand," the company said in a statement.
Cummins India Managing Director Anant Talaulicar saidthe expansion will cater to the increasing market demand andensure that "we continue to serve our customers well." PTI KCJJJ RSY
