Repatriation of Bru families to start tomorrow
Aizawl, Jan 14 (PTI) Preparations have been completed forrepatriation of 450 Bru families from six relief camps inNorth Tripura district from tomorrow, state home departmentofficials said here today.
Officials from the Mizoram-Tripura border district ofMamit were sent to the relief camps to conduct identificationof the bona fide residents of Mizoram and they had completedthe identification process, the officials said.
Around 150 Bru families were expected to return each dayon January 15, 18 and 21, the officials said adding elaboratesecurity arrangements have been made in both the relief campsin North Tripura district and Mamit distict.
Approximately 300 Bru families have returned to Mizoramsince November three, last year, 200 of them having done so ontheir own during the past fortnight.
