Kidnapped Yavatmal boy rescued from MP, two arrested

Yavatmal, Jan 13 (PTI) Police today rescued a seven-year-old boy kidnapped from here and arrested two persons inthis connection from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh.

Siddarth Sachin Patil, son of a lady doctor based atWani here, was abducted by two bike-borne youths yesterdayafternoon from near his house, Wani Police Station OfficerSubhash Anmulwar.

Acting on a complaint lodged by his parents, a policeteam was constituted and a manhunt launched.

The boy was traced to Chhindwara from where he wasrescued safely and his alleged kidnappers, Umesh Rai (22) andKafil Siddiqui (24), both hailing from Yavatmal district, werenabbed, he said.

Anmulwar declined to divulge information about motivebehind the kidnapping and said further details will beavailable once the police team returns here.
