CRPF to set up camp at Netai village

Kolkata, Jan 13 (PTI) Six days after seven unarmedvillagers were killed at Netai village in Lalgarh policestation area, police today decided to set up a CRPF campthere.

"We have decided to set up a CRPF camp at Netai afterdiscussions with the district magistrate," West Midnapore SPManoj Kumar Verma told at a press conference.

Verma, along with IG (Western Range) Zulfikar Hasanand CRPF officials, visited the village during the day toselect the location of the camp.

"We have seen the village and the place for the campwill be decided very soon," Verma said.

Asked whether CPI-M armed cadre were involved in theJanuary seven firing, Verma said, "As the case is sub judiceand CID is investigating it I cannot comment on it." PTI SAGPC
