Career Point to invest Rs 300-crore in education in Gujarat

Mumbai, Jan 13 (PTI) Career Point Info Systems todaysaid it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) withGujarat Government to invest Rs 300-crore in the formaleducation space in the state.

The Kota-based company will set up educationalinstitutions in higher education, vocational training andskill development segment. The company inked the MoU on thesecond day of Vibrant Gujarat 2011 summit at Gandhinagar, astatement released here said.

"We are proposing an investment of Rs 300-crore inGujarat over a period of four years. We expect to start thefirst institution imparting skill development courses by 2012subjected to getting timely approval from various regulatoryauthorities," Career Point Managing Director and ChiefExecutive Officer Pramod Maheshwari said.
