BJP MP says he will complain to Prez against Governor
Bangalore,Jan13 (PTI) Renewing its attack on KarnatakaGovernor H R Bhardwaj, the ruling BJP today said a delegationof MPs from the state would soon petition President PratibhaPatil seeking his recall.
"Raj Bhavan here has become centre of political activityand the Governor, who is expected to be neutral, has indulgedin party politics," D B Chandregowda, who represents BangaloreNorth Lok Sabha constituency, told reporters here.
Gowda, who defected to BJP from Congress on the eve ofthe last Lok Sabha elections, said he would lead thedelegation to lodge the complaint against Bhardwaj anddemanding his recall.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had announced last monththat he would write to his party high command to complainagaint the Governor to the President, but dropped the plankeeping in mind the assembly session.
The government did not wanted to antagonise Bhardwaj as ithad the compulsion of inviting him to address the jointsession.Though Bhardwaj accepted the invitation, he abandonedthe address after opposition parties urged him not to deliverit.
Chandre Gowda was flanked by ministers B N BachheGowda, Basavaraj Bommai and Govind M Karjol.
The state assembly session was today adjourned sinedie as the stand off between the government and oppositionover debating charges of corruption and land scams continueddisrupting proceedings of the House.
